A few weeks ago we posed a question on our social media feeds (Facebook, Instagram) and the responses we got were perfect. We’ve decided to share a few and add some additional ideas on how you can celebrate Mother’s Day.
This is a continuation of our previous blog post Great Ways to Celebrate Mother’s Day . We know not everyone wants to celebrate Mother’s Day because their mom is no longer with them or a part of their life. Trust us – these suggestions are appropriate if you have a mom-like figure in your life. You can also shower the moms in your life with attention any day.
Do an car makeover
Some moms might love if you borrowed her car for a few hours and did a thorough cleaning. Focus on detailing the inside and washing the outside. With spring, most of our vehicles are covered in winter dirt.
Are you handy? Consider changing the oil or filling the tank with gas when you return it to her home.
Have the grandkids make her cards
Grandmas love getting handmade cards from their grandkids. Enlist your kids in creating some artwork for Grandma to hang on her fridge.
Take Mom on a picnic
Weather depending, take Mom on a picnic. Put together a picnic basket with some chairs and a blanket to enjoy some beautiful weather. When was the last time you had a picnic?
Gift bath products
A great way to show Mom how much you appreciate her is to put together some bath products she can use while soaking in the tub. May we recommend our Goat’s Milk Bath? Mom can soak in the tub, relaxing and moisturizing her skin.
Spend time together
Most moms ask for 1 or 2 items for Mother’s Day – peace and quiet or to spend time with her family. If Mom is asking to spend time with you, give it to her! Block time off for her.
Honour, celebration and appreciation shouldn’t just be about 1 day a year. Tell the moms in your life how much you love, honour and appreciate them all year around.
